Research of regularities of shaping of the garment obtained by the method of flat cutting

In modern conditions of particular relevance in the design of the suit takes on the clothes the creating of the flat cut. A distinctive feature of this method is the use of design of main parts of clothes in the form of simple geometric shapes of arbitrary shape, applied with the means of forming representing a variety of cuts. In the absence at present of information in the field of clothing flat cut method the aim of this work was to determine the nature of the formative influence of some factors (number of cuts, and location relative to the direction of warp and weft) on the resulting form. As a result of the experimental researches the regularities of morphogenesis of clothing obtained by a flat cut. The location of the points of the incision in a straight line, regardless of its orientation relative to the direction of warp and weft creates clear geometric shapes having a cross section of any geometric shape (rectangle, polygon), identifying edges of the transition from front and back surfaces to the lateral surface. The location of the cutting line at an angle to the warp and weft leads to the formation of shape in the form of a truncated pyramid, the number of facets depends on the number of cuts. With increasing number of cuts, the shape becomes more uniform, having a cross-sectional contour of the bottom in the form of a circle. The flapper are localized at the ends of the cut. It can be used in the practice of designer when working with flat brim. Established the regularities of formation of clothes obtained using the flat cut will allow the designer more productively to carry out creative research, generate new ideas and to make informed compositional decisions when creating a new actual assortment of clothing.
